Return to Play Update October 2 2020
We are pleased to update our hockey family with a return to play plan. Our Board of Directors has been working with our governing bodies and our Township to create a safe plan to return to hockey at Wainfleet. Please read the article for our current updates.
Dear Wainfleet Wild Families,
Although this year is going to look different for hockey, we can assure you we are going to do everything possible so your child has an enjoyable season while staying safe. At this time we will be focusing on development as per OMHA rules, with the hopes of moving into games in the future.
WMHA is waiting for approval from our governing body to begin our season. IF we receive approval in time, the season will begin next week, potentially Tuesday October 6th. We will let you know as soon as we have confirmation. Please continue to monitor our Facebook Page (Wainfleet Wild) and our website at wainfleetminorhockey.ca.

Until teams are made you may attend each ice time for your age division until further notice.

This year we will be collecting a two part payment. First payment (50%) of cost is due at first ice time and can be paid by cheque or cash and the second half is required in the form of a post dated cheque dated for January 1st 2021, also due to be handed in at first ice time. Cheques may be made out to: Wainfleet Minor Hockey Association, and will be collected at the arena.

Covid-19 Refund Policy - Should Wainfleet Minor Hockey be shut down due to Government restrictions, a refund will be issued accordingly, depending on where it falls during the season.
We will be following The Township of Wainfleet’s guidelines and allowing 1 spectator per player.
Each player must wear their own practice jersey and bring a full water bottle, as the water filling station will not be in use. Water bottles are not to be shared as well as no sharing of equipment. Change rooms are available at a limited capacity, therefore it is recommended your child come as fully dressed as possible. Time will be limited before ice time to get ready. Bathrooms and showers in change rooms will not be accessible.
Masks are to be worn at all times in the building. Players are to wear masks until their helmet is put on. There will be screening at the front door for every person to enter. Also please note the Canteen will not be operating this year.
Restrictions and limitations are changing on a regular basis, please be patient while we work through these challenging times. Our goal is to get the kids back on the ice while keeping everyone safe. We ask that everyone do their part in keeping our skaters and their families safe and healthy and to stay home if you are feeling sick.
